With ten high-end computers and trained staff, the centre is offering free training (spanning from one month to three months) to the residents of villages in and around Medchal in the areas of MS Office, Tally, DTP and Accounting (basics).

At the successful completion of the course, the students are given a certificate from the Vedanta Foundation to help them in their future job prospects.

Natural Farming

Natural farming has been one of the key pillars of ISKCON Medchal, Hyderabad. While the modern society grapples with myriad challenges with regards to food quality and safety, India’s age-old wisdom on agricultural practices offers us a solution.

The Vedic system teaches that the food we eat is directly connected with our physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Thus, literally meaning ‘you are what you eat’.

Srila Prabhupada (founder-acharya of ISKCON) always emphasized the need for ‘simple living, high thinking’ so that the human society can live a simple life reduce the complexities of the present day and lead a more peaceful life.

ISKCON Medchal has strived over the years to practically demonstrate this principle for the benefit of all. Extensive farming is carried out in the project using the traditional methods of engaging the bull in the fields and using non-chemical components such as Jeevamrutam and natural pesticides for growing crops.

Today, the community produces several essential edibles in its land such as:

1. Rice

2. Vegetables – Tomato, Cabbage, Brinjal, Bitter Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Potatoes, Chilies.

3. Fruits – Papaya, Mango, and Guava.

If you would like to help in spreading the principle of self-sustenance in any way – providing your skills, time or donation, please get in touch with us.
